Update to EFAP services
On June 1, 2021, VCH's internal Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
will be transitioning to an independent accredited external provider, LifeWorks, formerly Morneau Shepell.
LifeWorks is Canada's largest employee and family assistance (EFAP) provider, supporting employees and their families so they can manage work, health and life challenges. They offer a suite of in-person and virtual services, including 24/7 support for psychological health and safety concerns, e.g., wellness (health, financial, legal), critical incident stress management (CISM), and counselling services.

Starting June 1, VCH staff, medical staff and their families will be able to access counselling and individual wellness services by calling 1-833-533-1577 for all of their EFAP needs.In July, LifeWorks' digital platform launches, offering personalized health and well-being content across a broad range of topics including mind, body, relationships, finances, and work. VCH Wellness & CISM Services
Until July 31, if you require wellness or critical incident services from VCH EFAP, please request an appointment using our online booking form, or contacting us at booking@employee-wellness.ca or (604) 872-4929 or 1 (800) 505-4929 (available 24/7).

We will be continuing to offer CISM and wellness-related resources and over the next couple of months as we transition to the new service provider. We will also continue to offer Coping with COVID-19: cultivating calm and resilience webinars and recordings, Taking Care of Me, and other additional supports. We know these tools and sessions have been valuable for you to help navigate the challenges of COVID-19 and want to continue supporting you during these times.
